Hi and thank you for visiting Traad ponds website:

     Traad ponds was opened in 1998, it was designed around man made ponds which were made by dredging sand some 40 years ago. All the trees and vegetation has grown up around the ponds and the golf course was cut out of the wilderness. it has now totally integrated with its surroundings and is a spectacle to behold at one with nature.

     The golf course has 6 par fours and 3 par threes. It has some great testing holes over water and is known as little Agusta of the North,

     The course is situated on the western shores of lough Neagh which is the biggest fresh water lake in the British Isles it is also beside the village of Ballyronan approximately  0.5 km away.

     With the ground being of sandy nature the course is quite dry and playable almost all year round. We also have course fishing facilities on the site more info is contained on our about us page.

As you can see on the bottom left the greens are finished to the highest standards, ask any golfer who plays on a regular basis they will say the same about Traad Ponds golf course.
